Aeroboutique Inflight Retail (AIR) is one of the main operators in the in-flight sales market. AIR provides its client airline in-flight sales programmes with a team of dedicated professionals and powerful technical and logistical resources.


I -Company profile

- A.I.R. is a French company, established in 1997, specialising in managing duty-free sales programmes for airline companies

Its principal clients are :

  • Air France,
  • Cotam,
  • Swiss International Airlines,
  • Royal AIR Maroc,
  • Atlas Blue

A.I.R. belongs to the Aelia group.



 

- Aelia, is composed of the two companies Aeroboutique France and Duty Free Associates (DFA) coming together.

Aelia is the fourth largest operator in airport duty free shops.

The group, with 30 years experience in duty-free, operates one hundred duty-free sales outlets in the main French airports, for an expected turnover of 500 millions euros in 2001.

In addition to running traditional airport shops selling alcohol, tobacco, perfume and cosmetics, Aelia introduced into the business the concept of brand name partnership like the Virgin or Christophle outlets in Orly and Roissy.

Aelia is a very dynamic company as one can see through its recent success : since March 2001, they manage the French Terminal of Eurotunnel.

Aelia is a subsidiary of Hachette Distribution Services.


- Hachette Distribution services (HDS) is a distribution specialist established in France and in 15 countries in Europe and America.

With its 7,200 associates, HDS manages a network of 2,000 sales outlets. In 2000, the company achieved a turnover of more than 3.26 billion euros, 85% of which were outside France.


Since August 2001, H.D.S has been managing the 18 Virgin Megastore in France.

HDS is a subsidiary of the Lagardère Group.
